Purpose

To enable works to be executed on
or near the public highway ensuring safety of the general public as
described in the Public Notice, (Appendix 1).

Content

(i)                 
To give
approval to advertise the public notice as set out in (Appendix 1),
following the statutory process.

(ii)              
To give
approval for the legal order (Appendix 2) be sealed to enable the
highway to be closed

 

Reasons for the decision

To enable works to be undertaken to
the carriageway and footway 

Alternative options considered

If the legal notice is not
advertised and the order is not sealed, the road will not be able
to be closed and Aptus Utilities will not be able to install new
connections for Gas, Water and Electric for new housing
development.
