Purpose

To accept grant funding award from
the GMCA Public Buildings Retrofit Enabling Fund totalling
£0.045m, relating to Ashton Old Library and Ryecroft Hall to
fund and procure decarbonisation feasibility studies.

Content

(i)                 
The
approval be given for the grant from GMCA (PBRef) scheme of
£45k be accepted.

 

(ii)              
The entry
into the Grant Funding Agreement is authorized.

 

(iii)            
That
approval be given for an appropriate procurement exercise via STAR
Procurement for the delivery of the studies funded by the grant
award.

 

Reasons for the decision

In line with Financial Procedure
Rule 5.3, an Officer Delegated Decision is required in order to
accept the grant funding award for a RIBA 2-level feasibility study
that will identify the most cost-effective routes to decarbonise
and improve the energy efficiency of the sites identified in the
report.

 

Alternative options considered

Do not accept the grant award and
do not progress with this project.
