Purpose
To approve an extension to the contract for a period of 5 years commencing 1st April 2027.
Decision
RESOLVED
That Executive Cabinet approve the extension of the current contract for a specialist integrated sexual and reproductive health service (ISHS) provided by Locala Health and Wellbeing by a further five years to 31st March 2032, with a contract value of£1,466,545 per year.
Alternative options considered
OPTION 1: Not to extend the contract for ISHS. The immediate outcome would be the end of the ISHS in Tameside, which is not a viable option
OPTION 2: Undergo a new tender process for ISHS.
OPTION 3: Undergo a tender process with a reduced contract value.
OPTION 4: Extend the contract, but on a Tameside foot print only
OPTION 5: Transfer the service and staff into the council at the end of the current contract, for Tameside MBC to directly deliver the ISHS
