Review of Car Parking Charges for All Public Sector Employees from 1 January 2024
December 15, 2023 Executive Member (Towns, Transport and Connectivity) (Cabinet member) Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
During the Covid pandemic staff charges for parking passes were
suspended. The charges were re-instated
on 1 September 2022 at £10.00 per month. A commitment was made to review after 12
months.
A report to introduce the new increased tariff charges on all car
parks within the Borough was presented and approved by the
Executive Cabinet on 28 June 2023 and came into effect on the 30
September 2023. These new charges have now been implemented.
Following this a review of the current pass charges is required for
Public Sector Staff.
The increased income from the car park pass
charges is in line with the increased tariffs in car parks in the
Borough ensures a two-tier system is not in place.
