Purpose

To seek AMP approval to the advertisement of
the intention to dispose of land that is public open space and to
enter into negotiations with a developer for the sale of the
land.

Content

That it be DETERMINED that:

1.    
The Council’s intention to dispose of a parcel
of land at New Lees Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, which is deemed to
be Public Open Space (POS), is advertised as required by the
disposal of POS procedure stated in the Local Government Act
1972.

2.    
That approval be given to enter into negotiations
with a developer in respect of the sale of the land at New Lees
Street.  A further report will be
submitted seeking approval to the proposed Heads of Terms for a
disposal, if agreed.
