Modification to extend Bureau Veritas contact
from 1 August 2023 – 31 May 2025

Content

That it be DETERMINED that:
The
Bureau Veritas contract is modified and extended for the period
from 1 August 2023 to 31 May 2025.

Reasons for the decision

The current contract expired on 31 July
2023.

The extension of the contract will provide continued
service whilst undertaking a required full tender process with the
possibility of including GMP into the next contract which will
support GMP, increase collaboration and reduce costs between all
parties.
The
original tender process was carried out collaboratively with the
x10 Greater Manchester Authorities and Greater Manchester Fire And
Rescue Service with Tameside Council leading on this
process.  As this is a specialist
service, only one bid was received through the open Tender
route.
