Purpose

The report sought to ensure optimal safety of all of the participants and spectators of the Remembrance Parades within the borough. A legal order required approval and sealing.

Decision

That approval be given for the legal Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 attached (Appendix 2) be given approved to be made as advertised in the Public Notice (Appendix 1).

Reasons for the decision

To ensure optimum safety of the participants during the ‘Remembrance Parades’ 2026. 

Alternative options considered

If the order was not approved, the ‘Remembrance Parades’ 2026 will not be able to proceed safely.
