Purpose

This report presents the completed scrutiny review reports and seeks agreement that a formal Executive response be prepared.

Decision

RESOLVED

(i)                That the findings and recommendations contained within Appendix 1, Voice of the Child in SEND and Social Care Plans be Noted.

(ii)              That the findings and recommendations contained within Appendix 2, Tameside Council's Role in Preventing Cardiovascular Disease (Healthy Eating and Physical Activity) be Noted.

(iii)           To request that the relevant Executive Member(s), in consultation with the relevant Director(s), prepare a formal Executive response to the recommendations arising from both scrutiny reviews.

(iv)           To request that the resulting Executive response be presented to a future meeting of Executive Cabinet for consideration and approval prior to being reported to the relevant parent Scrutiny Panel.

Alternative options considered

No alternative options are proposed. Following consideration by the Scrutiny Co-ordination and Strategic Improvement Scrutiny Panel, Executive Cabinet was identified as the most appropriate recipient for the recommendations arising from both scrutiny reviews. It is therefore appropriate that Executive Cabinet consider those recommendations and determine its response.
