Purpose

Approval to pay for designs, surveys, asbestos
works, and other preparatory works for the temporary additional
classrooms and demountable units

Content

That it be DETERMINED that:

1.      
Approval is granted to refurbish two classrooms at
Rayner Stephens to allow temporary use for pupils of Cromwell High
School.

2.      
Approval is given for a budget of £0.040m for
design fees, asbestos works, and surveys for the refurbishment of
the classrooms.

3.      
Approval is given for a budget of £0.050m for
design fees and surveys for the design fees, planning fees, and
surveys for the demountable units.

4.      
Approval is given for a budget of £0.150m for
the works costs for the classrooms.

5.      
Any spend against the remaining budget will be
monitored through the Strategic Planning and Capital Monitoring
Panel (SP&CMP).

6.      
Approval is given to Assistant Director for
Strategic Property to enter into a Licence Agreement for the
temporary occupation of classrooms at Rayner Stephens High School
by Cromwell High School staff and pupils.

7.      
Approval is given to Assistant Director for
Strategic Property to enter into negotiations and contract with
Inspired Spaces Limited (the LEP) with regard to carrying out the
works.
