Purpose

To request approval to enter into a D&B
contract with Robertsons Construction Group to demolish Active
Ashton and Active Longdendale

Content

1.    
To approve the use of the InspiredSpaces Ltd.
Additional Services Contract, subject to the appropriate
variations, to demolish both Active Ashton Swimming Pool and
Longdendale Recreation Centre for a cost of up to
£1.678m.

2.    
To authorise the Director of Place, in consultation
with the Director of Resources, to use the contingency if
required.

3.    
To provide further reporting to Executive Cabinet if
the forecast costs are higher than the costs outlined in this
report to seek approval for additional budget, if value engineering
is not possible.
