That it be DETERMINED to:

1.    
Re-purpose the school on Lumb Lane, Audenshaw, as identified in
Appendix 1, when Hawthorns school vacates the premises on 31
December 2024, following its relocation to its new school site,
and

2.    
To authorise a consultation to commence to allow the building on
Lumb Lane, vacated by Hawthorns School to be used by Thomas Ashton
School to replace their current satellite premises occupied at the
Discovery Academy site.

Reasons for the decision

To review the options available to the Council for
the use of the existing Hawthorns School, part of the New Bridge
Multi-Academy Trust, when it is vacated on 31 December 2024,
following the relocation of Hawthorns school to the newly
constructed Hawthorns school, Manley Grove, Hattersley.
