Purpose

To approve terms for the grant of a lease of
the Raff yard at King George Playing Fields, Ashton

That it be
DETERMINED that the Council grants a lease of the above site,
identified outlined in red on the attached plan in Appendix
1, lease for a term of 6 years to St Peters Trading Partnership
(Greenscape) Limited on the basis set out in the
reportthereby placing on a formal basis, the current
informal occupation of the above yard.

Reasons for the decision

The former Raff yard, adjacent to the King George
Playing Fields, is currently occupied on an informal basis with no
formal documentation in place to authorise the
occupation.  The grant of a lease
formalises the occupation and secures a rental income for the
Council whilst also documenting responsibilities and liabilities
for the site.
