Purpose

That permission be granted to allow the legal
process of introducing a prohibition of stopping and waiting Orders
within the area of Bennett Street and Bredbury Street, Hyde, to
begin, i.e. public consultation.

Content

That it be DETERMINED that:

1.      
Permission is given under the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 to advertise prohibition of stopping and
waiting Orders within the area of Bennett Street and Bredbury
Street, Hyde.

2.      
Any unresolved objections to the proposed Orders
will be reported at a future Speakers Panel (Planning)
meeting.  If the proposals to introduce
either the No Stopping or waiting restrictions are subsequently
approved, then a legal Order (s) will be made to reflect the
decision.

Reasons for the decision

To prevent parking within the area of a school
entrance and improve visibility for both pedestrians and vehicular
movements around the junction of Bennett
Street and Bredbury Street, Hyde.
