Purpose

The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 introduced a new
statutory duty on local authorities, ensuring that all victims of
domestic abuse, including children, have access to safety and
support.
Essex County Council received funding from the Department of
Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and allocated some of the
funding to Local Authorities.
Funding awarded to Tendring District Council has been extended
until 31st March 2025 to continue their duties under the Domestic
Abuse Act 2021.

To accept the funding from Essex County
Council in order to enable TDC continue the Domestic Abuse service
(as required by the Domestic Abuse Act 2021) until the 31st March
2025.
