Purpose

Transport East (TE) is the Sub-national
Transport Body for Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Southend-on-Sea and
Thurrock. Following a review of their role and functions, TE have
published a draft proposal exploring options to extend its powers,
seeking to enable more effective delivery of its transport strategy
on behalf of the region. Tendring District Council has been invited
to comment on the proposals, to ensure they fully and accurately
reflect the needs and priorities of the region.
