Purpose

Following a procurement exercise, to enter
into an agreement for the provision of a night time and weekend
security service at Spendells House, Walton-on-the-Naze.

Content

To enter into an agreement commencing on 18
February 2025 based upon the quotations received and their
subsequent evaluation against the Council's requirements in order
to provide a night time and weekend security service at Spendells
House, Walton-on-the-Naze.

Alternative options considered

Option 1 - To enter into this agreement
Option 2 - Not to enter into this agreement. However, following
initial assessment and consideration of options, the provision of a
night time and overnight security service has been considered
essential for Spendells House to be able to operate as temporary
accommodation for up to 31 households. . It is proposed to now
trial some different methods of provision, including remote CCTV
monitoring and different hours of on site provision during the
period of this agreement with a view to reducing the cost of the
service whilst maintaining a safe environment for our
residents.
