To enter into a
contract with Leaseplan Ltd. to replace vehicles used by various
service units across the Council and to contract hire 10 no. new
vehicles for the Housing Repairs team.

Reasons for the decision

The current
vehicles form part of the Council’s rolling replacement
programme. There is sufficient budget for the replacement vehicles
and a budget movement from the Housing Revenue Account of
£52,350 will be required.

Alternative options considered

1.   
Not to replace existing vehicles or enter into a new contract.
2.   
Not to enter into a contract with Leaseplan for 10 no. new vehicles
to be used by the Housing Repairs Team.
