Purpose
The Clacton Voluntary Lifeguard Service has
been providing beach safety services for many years. Their presence
has contributed to a safer environment for those enjoying the
coast.
The Council has provided a grant payment for several years. The

expected to be the same amount for 2025/26. This can be funded from
the Beach Patrol Revenue account and there is a long-standing
allocation for this grant in the Council’s approved base
budget.
