Purpose

The Council have a current lease in place with the Harwich Society over The Redoubt. The Harwich Society have successfully gained a grant from the National Heritage Lottery Fund to carry out restorative work to the property. In order to protect the money being granted the National Heritage Lottery Fund would like the Council to sign a side letter setting out what will happen in the event the Harwich Society become bankrupt and the Lease comes to an end. This will be in place until 31 December 2032.
