Reasons for the decision

To approve organisations who will receive
funds from Ten_02 Community Transport project under the Community
Regeneration Partnership Fund.
The Community Regeneration Partnership, is a government programme
which through delivery of 15 projects, aims to address key
socio-economic challenges in Clacton-on-Sea and Jaywick Sands,
improve local infrastructure, enhance community services, and
contribute to the long-term regeneration of the area.
On 11 June 2025, the Cabinet Member for Economic Growth,
Regeneration and Tourism approved the proposed open call
application process, application form, scoring criteria to be used
to assess these open call applications and the proposed grant offer
letter: CRP Ten_02 Community Minibus Open Call and Application
Process.
A panel of three officers drawn from across the Council applied the
scoring criteria to assess the funding bids. Three applications
were submitted, and each application met the minimum criteria to be
successful and have been awarded in line with the adopted Grant
Funding Check List.
The selected organisations include: Tendring Community Transport,
Harwich Connexions and UTurn Youth and Community Hub.

Alternative options considered

To not launch an open call funding scheme and
reduce opportunities for local residents to access essential
services.
To do nothing and to return the money to Ministry of Housing,
Communities, and Local Government (MHCLG).
