Purpose

The Department of Environment Food and Rural
Affairs (Defra) is providing local authorities with a funding
towards expenditure to be incurred by delivering Biodiversity Net
Gain.
This is a third year that the funding is available.
This new grant will support the next phase of work, including the
development of legal agreement required to register the sites as a
biodiversity gain sites.
The receipt of the grant is supported by approval from Portfolio
Holder for Environment and ICT Cllr. Adrian Smith.
