To use the remaining £576.19 in the
Revenue Shopfront Improvement Grants scheme from the UK Shared
Prosperity Fund to support the Sunspot’s 2nd Birthday
celebration event.
Reasons for the decision
There is currently £576.19 of underspend
in the revenue funding, and this cannot be awarded to a grant
recipient as the minimum grant amount is £1,000.
The underspend sits within the “support for business”
theme so therefore it is proposed that the remaining money goes
towards paying towards the Sunspots 2nd Birthday celebration, which
is being delivered in partnership. This would bring support to the
businesses that are currently at the Sunspot and promote the
Sunspot itself.
Alternative options considered
Not reallocate the funds and return the money
to MHCLG.
