a)To allocate the sum of £29,945.38 from
project Ten_08 Shopfront Improvements Fund through the Community
Regeneration Partnership, to the four successful applicants
detailed in this decision.
b)To allocate the sum of £580.00 from project Ten_08
Shopfront Improvements Fund through the Community Regeneration
Partnership to amend a previously approved grant application due to
the original contractor—who provided the lowest
quote—no longer being able to carry out the work. An
alternative quote has been obtained, which is £580.00 higher
than the original.
c)To allocate the sum of £3,966.08 from project Ten_08
Shopfront Improvements Fund through the Community Regeneration
Partnership, to the delegated planning consultant Retail Design
Solutions
Reasons for the decision
To pay the Shopfront Improvements grants that
have been approved from funds allocated to them from Ten_08 of the
Community Regeneration Partnership for approval by the Portfolio
Holder for Economic Growth, Regeneration
Alternative options considered
Not to pay the grants as soon as possible,
which may lead to them not being complete by the 31st March 2026
deadline.
Not to continue with the grant scheme and return the money to MHCLG
or transfer the funds to another project within the CRP
projects.
