Purpose

Officers are in the process of contract
renewal with regard to asbestos identification and renewal. A
potential opportunity exists to utilise a framework run by Eastern
Procurement Limited. Subject to evaluation, the framework may offer
financial and resource savings and streamline procurement. It is
necessary to enter into an access agreement in order to be able to
evaluate the terms and prices within the framework. A further
decision will be made on the procurement either within the
framework or outside of it following evaluation.

Content

To enter into an Access Agreement with Eastern
Procurement Limited to facilitate evaluation of the framework for
asbestos services run by them.

Alternative options considered

Option 1 - Enter into the access agreement -
proposed - TDC will be able to evaluate the terms and rates
available within the framework.
Option 2 - Not enter into the access agreement - not proposed - TDC
would not be able to evaluate the terms and rates within the
framework.
