Purpose
The promenade lighting along Dovercourt
seafront is due for refurbishment, some of the lamps are not
working and one column was removed previously as it was beyond
repair. A request for quotation exercise has been carried out and
following evaluation of the information received, W

the Dovercourt lighting refurbishment project and to award the
contract.
Reasons for the decision
To enable the lamp
columns along Dovercourt Promenade to be refurbished.
Alternative options considered
To remove the broken lights and not replace
them - this area is well used all year around by a variety of
different people including dog walkers, joggers, beach hut owners
and other seafront users and a well lit promenade supports the
evening leisure use in the darker months.
