a) To allocate the sum of £118,847.63 to
the thirteen successful applicants detailed in this decision.
b) To reduce the allocation of a grant which was allocated through
a previous decision on 5th September 2025 from £16,436.47 to
£16,335.00
c) To allocate the sum of £5,522.69, to the delegated
planning consultant Retail Design Solutions for services undertaken
to support the applicants
d) To reimburse the sum of £2,942.00 for the planning
application costs incurred in the grant process to five of the
grant recipients.
Reasons for the decision
To pay the Shopfront Improvements grants that
have been approved from funds allocated to them from Ten_08 of the
Community Regeneration Partnership for approval by the Portfolio
Holder for Economic Growth, Regeneration.
Alternative options considered
Not to pay the grants as soon as possible,
which may lead to them not being complete by the 31st March 2026
deadline.
Not to continue with the grant scheme and return the money to MHCLG
or transfer the funds to another project within the CRP
projects.
