To continue
offering reimbursement for flu vaccination costs to eligible staff
as part of the Council’s Employee Wellbeing Programme.
 
Staff will arrange
their own vaccination and submit a reimbursement claim. The current
cost is approximately £21.95.
 
Eligibility:
Permanent and temporary employees (including apprentices) who do
not receive a free NHS flu vaccination from their healthcare
provider.
 
 
 

Reasons for the decision

This initiative
supports and forms part of the Council’s Employee Wellbeing
Programme. Providing staff with the opportunity to be vaccinated at
no personal cost is expected to help reduce short-term sickness
absence during the winter months.

 
 

Alternative options considered

Previously,
vaccination clinics were held at the Town Hall. Due to hybrid
working arrangements, this approach is no longer practical. The
current method has been assessed as the most effective option.
