Purpose

Clacton Leisure Centre interior is beginning
to look tired and unkept and is in need of a refresh to bring it
back up to the standard in which our members deserve from their
local leisure facility.
Over time, white walls mark, paint flakes from handrails and doors
so repainting is essential to keep up a smart, tidy appearance.
RedEgg painting where the only company to submit a bid out of 6
companies invited to bid for the works.

Content

A) To award, enter into a one-off purchase
order with RedEgg Painting for the amount of £24,517 to
re-paint Clacton Leisure Centre to bring it up to a presentable
standard.
B) The use of Clacton leisure Centre revenue budgets for this
procurement, which is aligned with the financial planning and
governance framework of Tendring District Council. Specifically,
this expenditure of £24,517 will be drawn from the approved
Revenue Budget for Clacton Leisure Centre, under repairs and
maintenance) as set out in the General Fund Budget and Council Tax
report, which was formally adopted by Full Council during the
budget-setting process for years 25/26.

Alternative options considered

This will not be affected by LGR as is a
one-off expenditure to refresh the painting of Clacton Leisure
Centre.
