To use the remaining £9,040.75 in Town
Centre Manager Role’s budget to fund the Walton-on-the-Naze
Tourism and Business Partnership community event.
To use the retuned allocation of £1,200.00 in the “To
progress towards and into employment” theme to fund the
50’s + Jobs and Skills taking place on the 21st January 2026
at the Sunspot.

Reasons for the decision

There is currently an underspend of
£9,040.75 due to the Town Centre Manager Role being
vacant,
The underspend sits within the “High streets and town centres
improvements” theme so therefore it is proposed that the
remaining money goes towards paying for the community event to be
held in Walton on the Naze which will be supported and run by the
new Walton-on-the-Naze Tourism and Business Partnership.

Alternative options considered

Not reallocate the funds and return the money
to MHCLG
