Purpose

Following voids being identified in two
locations in Harwich, a request for quotations exercise was
undertaken, with quotations received back to a locked e-mail box. 3
companies were invited to quote and submissions received were
evaluated based on price, in accordance with the Council’s
procurement rules set out in Part 5 of the Constitution. Geobear
was the best price, with one other quotation received and the third
company unable to quote due to access restrictions for the size of
their vehicle.

To accept the quotation from Geobear and
instruct them to carry out the geopolymer resin void filling works
at Stone Pier and Harbour Crescent, Harwich. Cost to be met from
current budgets
