Purpose

To agree the
Council Tax Base for inclusion in the 2026/27 budget and for
notification to the Major Preceptors.

Content

(a)    
That, pursuant to the Corporate Director’s
report, and in accordance with the Local Government Finance Act
1992 and the Local Authorities (Calculation of Council Tax Base)
Regulations 2012, the amount calculated by the Council as its
Council Tax Base for the year 2026/27 shall be 54,719.1.
 

(b)    
That, in accordance with the said Act and
Regulations, the amount calculated by the Council as the Council
Tax Base for each parish and for the unparished area in the year
2026/27 shall be as set out in Appendix 1 of the aforementioned
Corporate Director’s report.

Reasons for the decision

To
agree the Council Tax Base for inclusion in the 2026/27 budget and
for notification to the Major Preceptors.
