Purpose

The tender exercises returned only single bids
for each scheme, which exceed the available budget. Ending the
current procurement will allow the Council to review and develop a
revised strategy to ensure value for money and deliverability
within funding constraints.

Content

To not proceed with an award of contract and
for the Council to exercise its right to withdraw the tenders for
the Local Regeneration Fund projects which include:-
- Carnarvon Terrace, Clacton-on-Sea
- Milton Road & Victoria Street, Dovercourt

Alternative options considered

Publishing the relevant notices is required
under the relevant procurement regulations and does not have
implications in terms of LGR. LGR is noted as a specific project
risk and a review is planned towards the end of March 2026 to
update the relevant risk and map implications further to the
release of further guidance by central government
