(a)    
To accept the tender of M J Group Construction and Roofing to carry
out maintenance at Bathhouse Meadow overflow car park; and

 

(b)    
To authorise the Corporate Director (Law and Governance) to
enter into a contract with M J Group
Construction and Roofing for the work on that basis.
 

Reasons for the decision

Following a recent
Executive Decision to prioritise maintenance at a number of car parks, this decision builds upon
that decision.
 
A tender process
has been completed through Essex County Council. Evaluation of the
tenders has included the price, methodology, product warranties,
deliverability and previous record of service delivery.

Alternative options considered

Not to carry out
works. Lack of maintenance on this site would quickly lead to it
becoming unusable.
