To note the contents of the report and
authorise the Corporate Director (Planning and Community) to
complete and sign on behalf of Tendring District Council the draft
MOU.

Reasons for the decision

To add Tendring District Council’s
support to the Memorandum of Understanding given its key role as
one of the three Councils working in partnership on the Tendring
Colchester Borders Garden Community and the objective to deliver
the remaining phases of the A1331 link road – a key element
of the infrastructure required for the development to
proceed.

Alternative options considered

To not agree the MoU, which might put at risk
the Government funding being sought by Essex County Council for the
completion of the A1331 link road.
