Purpose
The Local Validation List (LVL) for Planning
Applications was implemented on 2 January 2024, and reviewed later
that year.
Since this time, the Local Validation List has continued to be well
received by our agents. Notwithstanding this, any suggestions and
comments received about the lists during this time have been
collated, and during the recent internal review of the document,
the possibility of amendments and improvements have been
considered.
The purpose of this review is to improve the planning application
requirements so that we can continue to ensure highly quality and
relevant information is contained within all planning applications
for everyone involved.
Content
A 6-week consultation period for the review of
the Local Validation List has commenced.
Following the close of this 6-week consultation period on 20 March
2026, and subject to an evaluation of the consultation responses
received, the revised Local Validation Lists will be adopted and
implemented.
Alternative options considered
Consideration has been given to LGR, however,
no implications were established for the current review of the
Local Validation List.
