To accept the
following external grants for the improvement and maintenance of
Tendring’s coastal and countryside assets:
 

£26,630.28 from the Rural Payments Agency for
Holland Haven Country Park

£4,526.36 from the Rural Payments Agency for
The Naze at Walton

£7,000 from Natural England for Hamford Water

 

Reasons for the decision

These grants
support ongoing environmental, access, habitat management and
public realm improvements within key nature areas.
 
Acceptance of
external funding reduces pressure on core budgets and enables
delivery of essential work in nationally significant ecological and
coastal areas.

Alternative options considered

Not accepting
the grants – Rejected as this would forfeit external
funding and limit the Council’s ability to maintain and
enhance these important sites.
