About
The Overview and Scrutiny Committee reviews and scrutinises the Council's policies, decisions, and performance, as well as issues of local concern and the work of other public bodies. It assists the Council and the Executive Committee in policy formulation and review.
The committee can call in decisions made by the Executive Committee for reconsideration before they are implemented. It also considers any matter affecting the borough or its inhabitants.
