General Purposes Disciplinary Appeals Sub-Committee

The General Purposes Disciplinary Appeals Sub-Committee hears and decides appeals against disciplinary actions taken by the Investigation and Disciplinary Sub-Committee, excluding dismissal. Appeals can be brought by senior council officers, including the Head of Paid Service, S.151 Officer, and Monitoring Officer. Members of this sub-committee cannot have been part of the original decision-making body and must have completed mandatory training. The sub-committee aims for consistent membership throughout the consideration of an appeal and must include at least one Cabinet Member.
