The Standards Hearings Sub-Committee considers complaints that elected or co-opted members of Thanet District Council or local parish/town councils have failed to follow their council's Code of Conduct.
Following a hearing, and taking advice from an Independent Person, the sub-committee forms an opinion on whether a breach has occurred. If a breach is found, it makes recommendations to the Monitoring Officer regarding any action to be taken.
