Purpose

This is to renew the provision
of electricity supplies to Thanet Council sites

Decision

To procure a new contract for the Electricity
supply, with the objective of securing best value for money for the
Council.

Reasons for the decision

The decision was made to ensure that a new
contract can be sought at the earliest opportunity through the
LASER Framework tendering process. This is to ensure a minimal
amount of time in Out of Contract rates if applicable
 

Alternative options considered

To not procure a new contract, which could
mean being charged un-favourable Out of Contract rates with the
current supplier.
