Decision
(Report of Director of Street Scene, Leisure and Technical Services)
The report covered the formal consultation on proposals in Access Group 11 - subset of the Parking Action Plan where the Council had applied a streamlined process for the consideration and promotion of minor changes to the Traffic Regulation Order.
Members noted that the proposals included the introduction or amendment of enforceable disabled persons parking bays, double yellow line protection across a vehicle crossover, and changes to a parking bay to enable access to a driveway at locations in Tonbridge, Eccles and Borough Green.
The Board was advised that formal consultation had taken place between 30 April and 25 May 2026, and that objections received had been shared with the relevant local Members and the Chair in accordance with the agreed streamlined process. It was reported that no consensus had been reached on any of the Access Group 11 locations, and the matter was therefore brought to the Board for consideration. Members noted that full details of the responses, objections and officer recommendations were set out in the annexes to the report.
Following consideration by the Joint Transportation Board, the Cabinet Member for Finance, Waste and Technical Services resolved that:
(1) the recommendations for each location in Access Group 11 shown in Annex 1 to the report, be adopted, and where appropriate the proposals be implemented.
