Purpose

To inform Council of new Violence Against
Women and Girls Member Champion, and for Council to appoint to the
role for the remainder of the 2024/25 municipal year.

Content

Council agreed with
the majority voting in favour to:
 
·        
To note the establishment of the Violence Against
Women and Girls Member Champion and that Councillor Janet Jones is
nominated to serve as Violence Against Women and Girls Member
Champion for the remainder of the 2024/25 municipal
year.  
·        
That the Member Champion Protocol included at
Appendix 25 of the Council’s Constitution be updated to
include the Violence Against Women and Girls Member Champion under
the non-portfolio group of Champions.
