? An Accelerated Improvement Group Programme
Board was established in October 2024 in response to the continued
high rate of Children Looked After and associated spend.

? It has been determined that a redesigned structure would better
support the service to meet its improvement objectives.

? The report proposes a service redesign based on a child’s
journey through the system.

? The proposed restructure will enable more focused interventions
and progressive care planning.

? There will be a greater focus on children subject of a Care and
Support Plan which will reduce the number of children escalating
through the system.

? The proposals will assist with the recruitment and retention of
Social Workers.

? The proposed restructure is cost neutral. There are no
redundancies proposed.
