Update on Pontypool Investment Fund as part of the Vibrant and Viable Places Programme in Torfaen

That Cabinet progress the Pontypool Investment Fund by giving delegated
powers to the Chief Officer Neighborhood Services as
follows:
 

·        
to enter the Council into a Collaboration
Agreement for the purpose of delivering the VVP Pontypool Investment Fund with Melin Homes and Bron
Afon Community Housing, in consultation
with the Chief Legal Officer; and
 

·        
to make decisions on, and the commitment of
funding to, the VVP Pontypool
Investment Fund, in consultation with the Assistant Chief Executive
(Resources), Councillor Lewis Jones
(Deputy Leader of the Council) and Councillor Gwyneira Clark (Executive Member for
Housing, Planning & Public Protection), and;
 

That the above decision is implemented as a matter
of urgency for the reasons set out in this report.
 
That
Cabinet notes that a further update will be provided early in the
2015/16 financial year on progress of the entire Torfaen VVP
programme.
