Torfaen County Borough Council is committed to
adopting a more flexible approach to retirement and recognises the
benefits that it can have for both employees and the organisation
as a whole.

The Council’s Flexible Retirement Policy together with those
such as the voluntary severance arrangements, and flexible working
hours have already proven to be valuable in enabling organisational
change and facilitating more strategic workforce development
planning.
