About

The Council’s Licensing Committee carries out the functions of the Council as Licensing Authority so far as required or permitted by the Licensing Act 2003 in accordance with sections 6,7,9 and 10 of that Act and regulations thereunder.   The Licensing Committee also carries out the functions of the Council as Licensing Authority under the Gambling Act 2005.   The Licensing Committee is responsible for the licensing and associated issues for areas including Food Premises, Body Piercing, Hackney Carriage and Hire Cars, Boats and Boatmen, Street Collections, House to House Collections, Animal Welfare, Entertainment, consumption of Alcohol in Public Places and Scrap Metal Dealers.   Any members of the public who want to view the meeting will be able to watch through the Councils YouTube Channel https://tinyurl.com/TorridgeYouTube
