RESOLVED: the Leader agrees that
the response attached is sent to the Ministry of Housing,
Communities and Local Government. The consultation closes on 10
March 2026.  

 

Reasons for the decision

The Government is seeking views on
proposed reforms to the planning system and the National Planning
Policy Framework.

 

Officers drafted a response for
discussion which was considered by the cross-party Planning
Committee Working Group at a meeting on 17 February in the context
of Uttlesford. Not all 225 questions have been answered. Only those
most relevant to Uttlesford. Following the meeting, the
group’s comments were incorporated, and the final draft was
circulated to the group.
