Decision

The Council is trustee for a number of charities and exercises its trustee function as an Executive function. The Leader has chosen to exercise the function via the Executive Shareholder and Trustee Committee, and at its meeting on 2 September 2025 the Committee RESOLVED that:
1. The unaudited accounts for Shottermill Recreation Ground and Swimming Pool Trust be approved and;
2. The Joint Strategic Director of Finance be authorised to approve and sign the accounts for Shottermill Recreation Ground and Swimming Pool trust, including in the event should there be any immaterial change be required prior to the final audit
report being received from the external auditor
3. The unaudited accounts for The Bequest of Joseph Ewart be approved and;
4. The Joint Strategic Director of Finance be authorised to approve and sign the accounts for the Bequest of Joseph Ewart, including in the event should there be any immaterial change be required prior to the final audit report being received from
the external auditor.

Reasons for the decision

As a trustee the Council has a responsibility to ensure compliance with the accounting and reporting responsibilities, and authorising the Joint Strategic Director to approve in the event of immaterial
changes will support the trustees to meet the statutory timelines.
