Decision

A surface water drainage connection into the Thames Water sewer system is a planning condition required prior to construction of the approved pump track at Sandy Hill in Farnham. The Council has agreed to award a contract for the installation of drainage from the pump track site on Sandy Hill Road which will include connecting to the sewer system beneath the highway.

Reasons for the decision

The sewer connection is essential work required ahead of delivering the long-awaited pump track at Sandy Hill. As a planning condition the Council is obliged to carry out the works prior to constructing the pump track to ensure a suitable drainage system is in place.
