Decision

A new contract with SDK Environmental Limited for the provision of stray dog services for 16 months, from 1 August 2026 to 20 November 2027, including a 10% uplift in fees, effectively extending our services with our current stray dog provider.

Reasons for the decision

This will bring this contract in line with other local authorities who will join West Surrey Council on 1 April 2027, who currently have a stray dog services contract with SDK Environmental Limited.

Alternative options considered

To go out to tender this service. This was rejected as greater efficiencies and cost savings are likely to be achieved by going out to tender as West Surrey Council
